July 6, 2010 - The Executive Committee of the Cashmere and Camel Hair Manufacturers Institute (CCMI) has designated Bureau Veritas Consumer Products Services (Shanghai) to its list of independent laboratories known for their facilities and personnel having the capability of identifying and distinguishing fine animal hair fibers. CCMI utilizes international laboratories that are considered technical leaders in order to verify that apparel labeled cashmere or camel hair is composed of real luxury fiber, and not making a false claim of being genuine.

The Cashmere and Camel Hair Manufacturers Institute (http://www.cashmere.org/cm/index.php) is an international trade association established in 1984 to promote the use of genuine cashmere and camel hair products and to protect the interests of manufacturers, retailers and consumers of these products. The CCMI objective is to maintain the integrity of cashmere and camel hair products through education, information and industry cooperation.
