    To meet statutory obligations and ensure the optimum functioning of your equipment and installations, shutdowns have to take place at regular intervals. The inspection activities performed during these must be optimized to allow the operations to re-start quickly and safely:

    - optimizing the breadth and depth of inspection to be performed within the planned timeframe;

    - ensuring the safety of all personnel during the shutdown;

    Preparation for shutdown:
    This phase must take account of the full range of activities of the forthcoming shutdown:
    - tightness measurements on site (flanges, valves, pumps);
    - assistance in the choice of NDT techniques and level of management controls, for equipment under pressure, electrical equipment, and lifting, transport and handling appliances;
    - proactive Audits in quality and safety of external companies (accounting in particular for local safety rules);
    - implementation of preventive safety arrangements.

    Shutdown phase:
    This is the phase in which you must achieve most of your objectives in areas of quality, safety and timing, and may require associating the external companies working on site:
    - inspections and NDT as planned for equipment;
    - NDT campaign;
    - in the case of a major dysfunction of equipment or installation, intervention of specialized teams with adequate equipment for in situ measuring, laboratory tests and analysis;
    - follow-up of the works of the external companies on site (ability to react, quality, safety, speed);
    - advice and technical support.

    Restart phase:
    Control of the tightness of the connections affected during the shutdown.
