Bureau Veritas was awarded with the 2006 Supplier Merit Award, granted to the best suppliers of several General Motors areas (manufacturing, services and logistics) in General Motors LAAM (Latin America Africa and Middle East) management.

The event, on April 18th, had the presence of Mr. Ray Young (GM BRAZIL and MERCOSUL President) and Mrs. Karen M. Leggio (GM LAAM Global Purchasing and Supply Chain Vice President).
More than 1.100.000 inspections in Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Venezuela, Ecuador and Colombia were performed within GM contract in 2006 with 161 persons involved. Bureau Veritas provided also support to GM LAAM to disseminate the best practices.

The award confirms the high level of quality of the VDT ( Vehicle Damage Tracking ) services performed by Bureau Veritas throughout Latin America Zone.
